Kenya Evangelical Churches

Victory church in Katwanyaa is led by Pastors Paul Wili and Paul Muli. This was the first church the Osbornes planted. It is one of their largest churches with 300 members. It has many of their founding fathers, one of which is 104 years old! It has a lot of mature Christians that are a real blessing.

Emmanuel Church is on the prairie way out in the backcountry. Pastor Simon Kioko usually travels there on bicycle as the roads are rough. Emmanuel is the second church the Osbornes planted and has a membership of 300.

Athi Church near the Athi river and in the rainy season only can be reached by Land-Rover. In fact during the wettest times the river it borders might be impassable. The congregation often rides 10 miles or more on bicycle to reach the little church in the country.

BETHEL CHURCH

Bethel Church is located in Kangundo Matitani area. It's in a beautiful area surrounded by crops. Pastor Christopher Mutuku ministers to a congregation of 200. This was the fourth church Hoyt and Lois planted. It is within walking distance of their home. The assistant pastor is Meshak.

Mwala Church is in the tiny village of Mwala and quite a drive from Kangundo over rough roads. Pastor Jeremiah Kala leads the congregation. A tornado has destroyed the original building, and the congregation is in the process of constructing a new brick building. Right now they are hurting because the new church has no roof. St. Josephs Church is located high on a hillside at Kiandani Market in Machakos District. Head pastor Danstone Wambua and his congregation have built a brick church which is almost completed. This church has 70 members.

Ebenezer Church is in Ngonda and is pastored by Pastor Sammy This is a nice church with a big congregation of 200 members. The grounds are shaded by trees and like the other finished churches has a roofed entrance.

St. Marks Church is located near the bustling village of Tala. The church is led by Pastor Fitzpatrick Mutuku. Pastor James Mulei a recent graduate of Evangelical Bible College is the assistant pastor.

Calvary Church is a half hour drive from Kangundo and is now pastored by Joseph Makosi and Assistant Pastor Senga. It has a lovely church building with a small congregation. There were other very strong churches in the area with false doctrine that really fought against this church, but God's will prevailed. There are a lot of very elderly people in this area with no one to help them so the church provided help for them. Pastor Joseph's church has made a difference.

Pathway Church was their 10th church, it's located in Kangundo near the Athi River. They presently have no building, but gratefully meet for Sunday worship under the trees. Pastor Onesmus Malinda is the pastor.

Kasosi Church is located in Bungoma area. They now own their own plot. They have put up a temporary mud church with a tin roof. They are also in the process of getting the necessary materials to put up a permanent building.

Kasosi is pastored by Pastor Titus Simiuyu and Joseph Kwatemba. (Field Director.) The church at Transmara has 120 members.
