My Grandfather was born in 1908 in Andover, Massachussetts. His father was William Ernest, a pastor of the Baptist Church which is still there on the corner in downtown Andover.

Of course I (being his grandson) only knew him as an adult. He was still as michievious as an adult as when he was a child. I remember him telling of the time he launched a paper airplane from the balcony of his father's church... yes during services. When he was in his sixties he decided to scare the Henderson kids. So he took off his shoes and (with his EEEE size wide foot) tramped all over the mud and dirt around their cabin in the Maine woods. Of course all the kids were sure a HUGE bear had visited them in the night. He got quite a chuckle out of that.
His wife (my Grandmother) was Eva B Lombard, a very creative, active and loving member of our family. I will never forget Ginger Hill Farm where they lived in their older years.

Gramp had a great imagination as you will see when you read his stories (which he wrote mostly in his seventies at Ginger Hill Farm.
My Grandfather died in the winter of 1995 but he left a lasting legacy and these great stories we want to pass on.
Gramp also wrote a small book of verses and wisdom called "One Small Light." I hope to include several of those here as well in the future. I wrote one such story myself called--
